THE UNIVERSAL GRAIN

THE UNIVERSAL GRAIN
FUNDAMENTAL SOCIAL RESEARCH PROJECT

The Universal Grain is a unique international project aimed at identifying the fundamental values that unite all people on Earth, regardless of culture, tradition, or belief. In an era of unprecedented climate challenges, this project holds strategic importance, highlighting the urgent need for global consolidation to secure humanity’s shared future.

The project began with a key insight reached by an international group of scientists and volunteers from ALLATRA: effective response to escalating climate threats is only possible through coordinated efforts of the global community. This fundamental realization translated into The Universal Grain research initiative, which brought together an international team of ALLATRA volunteers from various countries to establish a scientific foundation for intercultural dialogue.

As part of the project, large-scale research was conducted with the involvement of respected experts from a wide range of academic fields, including anthropology, cultural studies, history, religious studies, sociology, and psychology. Their interviews and analytical contributions have formed a one-of-a-kind database, revealing a comprehensive picture of universal human values.

The Primary Goal of the Project:

To explore and identify common value systems and fundamental unifying principles across diverse cultures, traditions, and worldviews—laying the groundwork for constructive dialogue and bringing humanity together in the face of global challenges.

Key Areas of Research:

  1. Studying universal human spiritual and moral values found across various cultures and traditions around the world

  2. Identifying historical examples of successful cross-cultural interaction and cooperation

  3. Analyzing the factors that lead to societal division and seeking ways to overcome them

  4. Investigating mechanisms for building lasting international mutual understanding

Methodology:

  • An interdisciplinary approach, drawing on anthropology, religious studies, cultural studies, sociology, and other related fields

  • Objective analysis of historical and cultural sources

  • Independence from political and ideological influence

  • Focus on the practical application of research findings

The research findings of The Universal Grain project are also featured in documentary films and serve as a scientific foundation for fostering effective intercultural dialogue as well as building a sustainable, united global society capable of collectively addressing escalating climate challenges.
