Dr. John Ahn Presents ALLATRA’s Groundbreaking Research on Micro- and Nano-plastics at The Water Expo

Dr. John Ahn of the Earth Research Analytical Department at ALLATRA International Public Movement presents during a master session at The Water Expo

Fort Lauderdale, FL – [August 21, 2025] – Dr. John Ahn, PhD, MBA, of the Earth Research Analytical Department of ALLATRA International Public Movement, delivered a compelling master session at The Water Expo, one of the leading industry events produced by Show Winners Corporation.

In his talk, “Toxic Legacy: The Hidden Health Crisis of Environmental Pollution,” Dr. Ahn presented ALLATRA’s latest landmark Report, “Nanoplastics in the Biosphere: From Molecular Impact to Planetary Crisis.” This Report provides one of the most comprehensive assessments to date of the escalating threat posed by micro- and nano-plastics to environment, human health, and the global climate.

Key findings include:

  • Invisible Pollution: Micro- and nano-plastics are now everywhere, from the depth of Mariana Trench to the peak of Mount Everest, contaminating the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink.
  • Health at Risk: These particles infiltrate human cells and vital organs, causing DNA damage, inflammation, and disruption to various organ systems, including the nervous, cardiovascular, and reproductive systems.
  • Planetary Threat: Beyond human health, these tiny plastics intensify ocean warming, alter precipitation patterns, reduce agricultural yields, and threaten global stability.
  • Race Against Time: Without urgent innovation and international cooperation, plastic pollution will evolve from an environmental crisis into a civilizational tipping point.

“One gram of plastic has the potential to fragment into more than a thousand trillion invisible particles,” said Dr. Ahn. “These are not just pollutants – they are silent toxins already eroding our health and destabilizing ecosystems. The true danger is not the plastics we have yet to produce or recycle, but the micro- and nano-plastics already around and inside us. This is where our focus must urgently shift to find a solution.”
