At the presentation of Professor Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli’s book in Turin, Italy

As part of the fair, a presentation was held for the new book by Professor Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, co-authored with Professor Alberto Contu—Costituzionalismo Federale Mondiale e Tecnologie del Potere nell’Era Quantistica (“World Federal Constitutionalism and Technologies of Power in the Quantum Era”).

The presentation, held at the Stand Sardegna venue, drew significant attention from experts focused on the future of global governance, law, and technological development. The book represents the result of many years of interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together law, philosophy, ethics, and the analysis of rapidly evolving technological processes.

Global Challenges and the Ethics of Technology

The book addresses fundamental issues of our time related to the transformation of the international system in an era of accelerating technological progress:

  • Challenges of the Quantum Era: The study examines the impact of artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and digital platforms on power structures, decision-making processes, and international relations.
  • A Human-Centric Approach: The authors emphasize that technology must remain a tool for human and societal development rather than a mechanism for control, widening inequality, or division.
  • A New Model of Responsibility: Central to the authors’ vision is the need to build a framework of global responsibility grounded in ethics, cooperation, and respect for future generations.
  • Global Federal Constitutionalism: This concept is presented as a pathway to sustainable, long-term peaceful coexistence among nations. In this model, global order is not merely a patchwork of temporary compromises, but a resilient legal and ethical architecture—one in which power is understood first and foremost as accountability to society and the planet.
