The “ALLATRA Israel” team attended the Israel Climate Conference 2025, organized by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in collaboration with the Israel Climate Forum of the President’s Residence and the Haaretz newspaper.

The event focused on urgent issues related to the rapid increase in natural disasters and their consequences for the environment and society.

Key Topics of the Conference:

  • Worst-case scenarios for the rise in natural disasters: How close are we to critical tipping points that could reshape the world?
  • Preparing Israel’s National Water Company to manage water scarcity and adapt to extreme natural disasters.
  • The extinction of insect species and its impact on ecosystems.

Experts emphasized the need to reassess Israel’s energy policy, considering the development of small nuclear power plants to supplement solar energy, which has been Israel’s primary focus in energy strategy.

A key concern raised at the conference was that existing predictive models of natural disaster growth no longer reflect current realities. In response, conference participants highlighted the importance of an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to studying environmental dynamics.

The “ALLATRA Israel” team held informative and productive discussions with government representatives, scientists, researchers, and developers specializing in waste recycling and water purification.

During these meetings, key materials from the report On the Progression of Climatic Disasters on Earth and Their Catastrophic Consequences were presented.

The report is based on open data from international scientific centers, satellite observations, geological studies, and mathematical modeling. The research provides a comprehensive analysis of the current climatic and geodynamic situation and underscores the importance of global cooperation to effectively address worldwide challenges.
