Geneva, Switzerland – Participants of the ALLATRA IPM and Creative Society project took part in the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council and successfully completed an intensive Leadership and Advocacy Training Program, organized by the Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWP) and IAYSP Europe and the Middle East (EUME), with support from the NGO Committee on the Status of Women – Geneva.

The 59th Human Rights Council session, held from June 16 to July 9, 2025, covered key topics such as human rights protection, freedom of expression, gender-based violence, civil society rights, racism and discrimination, as well as the impact of the climate crisis. ALLATRA IPM and Creative Society project participants were granted access to the United Nations headquarters in Geneva throughout the entire 59th session, where they attended high-level discussions on global human rights issues and multilateral diplomacy.

Throughout the program, participants attended official sessions of the Human Rights Council, observing human rights decision-making in real time.

During their time at the United Nations, project participants engaged in meaningful conversations with diplomats from UN Member States, UN officials, and civil society leaders, gaining valuable insight into policy development, operational strategies, and collaborative approaches to pressing global challenges.
