Once again, Assisi became a gathering place for international dialogue on peace. The historic Sala della Conciliazione at Palazzo dei Priori hosted the international event “From Assisi to the Quantum Era: Reimagining Peace Through Fraternity.”
The event was organized by the Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation (IASC), World Changers as part of a peace initiative supported by the E-Novation Foundation, in collaboration with the International Mauritian Academy, Fiaccola per la Pace, the National Committee of San Francesco 1226–2026, Assisi Pax International, and Diplomatici Spirituali.
The conceptual foundation of the gathering was inspired by the spiritual legacy of Saint Francis of Assisi and resonated with Magnifica Humanitas, the encyclical of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, which reflects on human dignity, peace, and responsibility in the modern world.
A message from the Secretariat of State of the Holy See held special significance for the participants. His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, sent a message highlighting the importance of initiatives that create opportunities for interdisciplinary reflection grounded in the values of universal fraternity and human dignity.
In his message, Cardinal Parolin stated:
“I take note of the importance of the initiative, intended to offer a moment of interdisciplinary reflection inspired by the values of universal fraternity and human dignity, also in light of the Encyclical Magnifica Humanitas of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. For this reason, I will accompany it with my prayer.”
The international gathering in Assisi served as a platform for dialogue among representatives of science, spirituality, culture, and international cooperation who came together to explore pathways toward a future in which the human personality, human dignity, and personal responsibility remain at the heart of social development.
The discussion was moderated by journalist Massimo Lucidi, President of the E-Novation Foundation, who guided the dialogue among participants from the fields of science, culture, spirituality, and international cooperation.
