The ALLATRA TV Italy team of volunteer journalists provided extensive coverage of the initiative by interviewing organizers, speakers, and invited guests.
During the interviews, important statements were made about social responsibility of the professional community. In particular, Edoardo Ginevra, National President of AIDC, stated:
“Today’s topic is of great importance, and for everyone who, like me, works as an independent professional and deals with economic matters, it is essential to remember that one of the goals of our profession is commitment to public interest and trust. This means paying attention to the social sphere and to those who need a helping hand to start living again.”
The congress clearly demonstrated the need for a comprehensive approach to the penitentiary system, based on respect for human dignity, responsible communication, and labor as effective tools of human, social, and spiritual rehabilitation. The discussion clearly underscored the need for sustainable, systematic cooperation among public institutions, the professional community, mass media, businesses, and the third sector, so that places of detention cease to be spaces of isolation and become part of a pathway towards responsibility, social inclusion, and genuine reintegration into society.
