“ALLATRA Israel” Representatives at the World Social Work Day Conference, Israel
Jerusalem, Knesset — On March 18, the “ALLATRA Israel” team participated in the official conference dedicated to World Social Work Day. The event was organized by Israel’s Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs and took place at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
The ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including:
- Mr. Ya'akov Margi, Minister of Welfare and Social Affairs of Israel;
- Mrs. Michal Miriam Waldiger, Member of the Knesset;
- Mr. Yinon Aaroni, Director General of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs of Israel.
The main theme of the conference was the role of social workers in building national resilience.
As part of the event, an inspiring discussion took place on the topic "From Failure to Success – How It Really Happens" with Olympic medalist and judo coach Mr. Oren Smadja. He shared his personal journey of overcoming challenges and achieving success, emphasizing that every failure is a step on the path to success.

“ALLATRA Israel” representatives discussed pressing social challenges with conference participants, including the link between the rise in natural disasters and increasing social vulnerability. They also emphasized the need for international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of social work.
Conference participants noted that the involvement of “ALLATRA Israel” in this significant event greatly raised awareness among social workers about the impact of natural disasters on people’s lives. This, in turn, contributes to integrating environmental concerns into the social sector and developing a comprehensive approach to addressing both social and environmental issues.
At the conclusion of the conference, representatives of “ALLATRA Israel” presented the fundamental report “On the Progression of Climatic Disasters on Earth and Their Catastrophic Consequences" to the Director of the Knesset's International Relations and Press Department and the Director of Public Information Services at the Knesset.
