Representatives of the ALLATRA International Public Movement took part in a conference dedicated to the World Interfaith Harmony Week in UN

On Friday, 30 January 2026, representatives of the ALLATRA International Public Movement participated in an international conference held in the framework of the World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) at the Vienna International Centre – UN Vienna.
The conference was organised by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), UNCAV, the Coalition of Faith-Based Organizations, Youth and Students for Peace, the Women’s Federation for World Peace, and other partner organisations.

The event was held under the theme: “The Relevance of Religions for a Peaceful World Order.”
The conference brought together diplomats, religious leaders, academics, politicians and leaders of non-governmental organisations.
Among the speakers were:
- H.E. Mohammed Sameer Salem Hindawi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
- Hon. Lukas Mandl, Member of the European Parliament;
- Dr. Rizwana Abbasi, Associate Professor at the National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad;
- Dr. Afsar Rathor, former UN Executive (UN Peacekeeping Missions, UNIDO and other UN entities);
- Mr. Albert David, Member of the National Commission for Minorities, Pakistan;
- Prof. Dr. Elmar Kuhn, President of the Coalition of Faith-Based Organizations Europe;
- Dr. Androniki Barla, Orthodox theologian and canon lawyer;
- Dr. Jacques Marion, President of UPF Europe, France.

Representatives of the ALLATRA International Public Movement actively took part in the conference and its networking activities. During the event, they had the opportunity to communicate with conference participants and visitors, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organisations, academic institutions and civil society initiatives.
A significant part of ALLATRA’s participation was dedicated to professional networking, building new international contacts and strengthening dialogue with representatives of different cultures, religions and countries.
The representatives of ALLATRA noted the high level of openness and sincere interest among participants in interreligious and intercultural dialogue, as well as in joint initiatives aimed at promoting peace, mutual understanding and humanitarian cooperation.
The ALLATRA International Public Movement continues to actively contribute to international discussions and initiatives that strengthen dialogue, trust and humanitarian values in support of a peaceful and sustainable future for all humanity.
